You may be surprised to find out how many video games for kids under 5 you can find online. Even very young children love to play games.

And, if they play games, they might as well play video games that have an educational purpose. They can learn while playing and make good use of their time.

Now, what kind of video games for kids under 5 are there?

There are many fun games that teach children letters, sounds and numbers. There are also other games that teach children colors and shapes. There are games to help children recognize animals and their voices. These games are acceptable for very young children even the age of 2 years old!

Of course, young kids are not able to play games all by themselves. They would need adult assistance or their older brother or sister’s help. Still, most kids 3 year of age can learn to press certain keys on a keyboard to play a game or even use mouse.

There is another advantage of video games for kids under 5. Using a mouse or a keyboard develops motor skills including the coordination of their fingers. Scientists say that finger work to improve fine motor skills greatly impacts the pace of speech skills development.

There are also many video games for kids under 5 that teach kids to draw or paint.

Some games train children to increase their attention span and teach them focus on things. These games let kids compare pictures and find differences or to find items on the screen. These type of games might be a bit hard for super active kids to play but they can help in their training.

We can hardly imagine our modern world without computers or other mobile devices. So, it is only reasonable to teach our children at the very young age to use them for their education and for fun. Good computer skills will certainly make our kids’ life easier in the future.
