k-12 resource for educator

All over the world, the career market is becoming too competitive these days. It is important for an individual to find various ways to get ahead in their job field because of the high degree of competitiveness.

Employers have so many options and potential candidates to select from that they can get very picky while choosing a candidate for a particular job. A resume is submitted to look at a candidate’s educational background. But the question rises “whether the work experience has any importance?”

Well the answer is actually yes and no.The person who has more work experience will definitely be noticed, but if the person does not have an educational background, then that can be a disadvantage.

Online professional development for k-12 educator

These days online professional development fits the quick changing k-12 education environment which stresses the need for re-certification and for teachers to continue to learn challenging new pedagogy and content.

Online professional development offers many benefits to teachers by helping them with their daily routine and linking them with a network of similar-mind professionals. They can share and learn from each other. It provides the chance for teachers to take possession of developing their academic capabilities and strategies, thus raising their use of tools and technologies and strengthening their content understanding. Often being remote in the classroom setting, teachers can now move forward to work together with colleagues.

Advantage for k-12 teacher

Traditional professional development often does not offer the consistency needed for teachers to develop a true sense of community and commitment. There are very few lasting exchanges that occur in face-to-face professional development sessions. Online professional development offers a way to reflect, read and respond for learning and deeper thinking. It is designed as a resource for educators to help with new teacher retention, induction, and constant professional growth through online tools, expertise and resources.

Aim of online training resources

To participate in online professional development, k-12 teachers must be motivated and disciplined to get involved.

There are various states that view online professional development as an effective resource to deepen the teacher’s content knowledge and changing practice that results in improved performance. The aim is to engage new teachers in mentoring and to examine coaching activities online, while offering help and guidance through the district’s skillful teachers and university partners.
