It has been said that lifetime success is generally attributed to the first five years of life. That means that a person’s success could be based on factors before ever entering the education system. Many kids parents are working full time, therefore, are not being raised correctly. Poor parenting is the biggest contributor to the poor education children are receiving. Children need to be taught before entering the education system and properly prepared for what they will encounter.
Parents love to think that it is entirely the teachers or education system’s fault. They do not understand the role they play in their children’s education, and for that reason, they place blame on others. The fact is, education is impacted the most from learning experiences outside of the classroom. A majority of the kids in schools today are simply not getting these experiences due to poor parenting.
However, schools need to understand that this is a huge problem and address it. Schools fail to get the parents involved in the children’s education. This contributes to the problem and gives the parents an escape goat. Schools should encourage parent involvement more and educate parents on the best way to educate their children outside of the classroom.

The improper teacher to student ratio results in very poor performance amongst students. Students simply do not get the one to one attention they need. Many students fall behind because of this and results in a poor overall education. Many students need one to one assistance.
Another huge problem in education today is the testing being done.
Many schools are trying to slide students through in order to keep their funding. If schools do not get high enough scores, they lose funding. This is a flawed system and many schools have been caught teaching to tests. These schools have also been caught helping students get better grades through cheating.
Overall, today’s education system needs a lot of work done.
It is a flawed system that must be improved to help our future generations get a proper education. We need to better our education for the next generations future and not limit their ability because of our inability to fix the problems.
