High school students these days get into relationships with people who they meet at work, school or even on dating sites.
Are kids in high school really ready to handle a serious relationship?
How far do they take these relationships?
Now these are common questions that are on most people’s minds when they think of two teenagers dating and this especially includes parents of the kids.
Most often relationships that are started with a boy and girl when they are teenagers, don’t seem to last. It’s a common conception that it is just a momentary phase that these kids go through and they get into way to much of a commitment at a very young age without even understanding the reality of things.
Teenagers have no idea of the plans that their future has in store for them. Most often students who get into serious relationships at a young age don’t seem to see the relationship staying strong for long because of their future plans. Students might move schools or take up a job after school.
After high school, kids graduate and tend to meet new people when they explore new career paths. This can lead students to find new alternatives to explore, and thus end their relationships. Relationships that start off strong during high school days start to weaken toward the end of school and the beginning of a new career.
Another reason for relationship break ups of high school kids is that they forget that they are still financially dependent on their parents for everything. To be able to spend money on a girl friend or boyfriend, a teenager would probably need a part time job that could take all their time and put a lot of stress on the relationship.
There are some relationships that start early and end with a lifetime of happiness. The few who find true love and hold onto it at a young age are the fortunate few who can cherish the good times and the bad and can stick by their partner even when they are away.
Serious relationships are hard to find these days and especially with teenagers it is rather a very difficult thing to find. Thanks to the open minded society of today’s world, most teenagers have the freedom to make their choices and live by it.
