“Leaders are not born but are made”
This is a common theory that has been passed down to generations. Kids have grown and matured in society with enough guidance in being good citizens.
But are they equipped enough to be good leaders?
That’s the common question that even the political parties of the world and America ask these days. As a result of this question, schools have been a part of organizing leadership training programs to be able to equip their students with knowledge on how they can be effective leaders of society. The current state of affairs in the political realm, really calls for good leaders to be able to make wise decisions to help in supporting the economy.
Many of these leadership training programs that schools conduct revolve around community service. These programs are inculcated into the student’s education program in middle and high school. Bringing a student to the realization about the importance of the community by training them in community service not only helps them to develop good leadership qualities but also helps in bringing about a society awareness and responsibility to be a great leader of tomorrow.
Many students have difficulty motivating themselves. This is a big draw back with most high school and middle school students. A leadership training program helps in giving students the confidence not only in themselves but also helps them to understand that they can learn from the experiences of others. Most students who are effectively involved in leadership training programs tend to learn a lot more about life. They learn about time management and how they can use their time both for themselves and for society.
All negative attitudes of saying that they can’t do a particular thing or poor learning and work habits are corrected by leadership training programs. This actually aids in helping students to become more confident and makes school life more rewarding to students. It gives them the focus and direction they can choose for themselves and also gives them the confidence to achieve a particular goal. Overall, leadership training programs in high schools help build character and personality in the students.
