Mentoring is instilling the right values and proper care towards the ones you have taken responsibility for.
Sometimes, younger kids go astray and pick up bad habits and practices. One good thing in the lives of these kids is that they look up to the teens who are their seniors in school. If teens mentor and show them the right path to good conduct and success in life, then it can induce a sense of discernment in the younger kids and teach them to differentiate between right and wrong.
What can teens do for younger kids?
When teens mentor they can change the life of kids in a good sense and turn them into ideal human beings. They can be their torch bearer and show them the light of happiness. Parents will love their teenage children helping out underprivileged and neglected children instead of fooling around with an undesirable group. The wrong company can lead teens into unruly behavior and cause social tensions. A parent of a teenage child would love to see their teens mentor and act as a leader and a guide to younger kids.
A teen should be always encouraged to give their best and be supportive to the welfare of society. To a child, grades at school are very important; if teens mentor younger children to do better in school and get good grades, then that will contribute towards the future growth of the child. Teens should be inspired to do something good for society.
It is not possible for every teen to extend a helping hand for every single child. But those who have the inclination and a supportive mentality should be encouraged to go for it. When a teen looks at the face of a child, they realize that the same expression lingered on their face when they were kids. Children, too, always respect their teens and love the way they act and talk. So if teens mentor and show them a positive approach to life, the kids will follow them too.
