A teen has an enthusiastic mind and encouragement can help him/her go to any extent in studies and other curriculum. Studies exert pressure on their tender minds but once teens have a grasp of the study curriculum, they feel free from tension. Hence, good grades are important to encourage students to work harder and feel more confident before examinations.
Why are good grades important?
Every student strives hard to do well in school. Teen-age is a sensitive time and a teenager is greatly affected by his or her study performance. The most important thing is that good grades help students develop a love for their studies. Good grades reflect the efficacy of the school or college studies. When good grades are recognized with money or other forms of reward, the student feels good.
Being the parent you can do a lot to make your child earn good grades. You can either give them a money gift or promise them a surprise. This is an effective way of making teens work harder and earn good grades. However, you need to keep your expectation in balance with your child’s ability to give his/her best.
Suppose a student who is very poor in studies has worked really hard and scored a C. This is a good grade for a first attempt and it should be rewarded. Parents should have their expectations according to their child’s abilities. A short step can help your child reach higher, but you need to have the right vision and intelligence to help him/her flourish.
Money is not always the best reward and it can spoil a teen’s respect for earning. Gift them with the best cycle or a book and see how they love it. If you are expecting the best grades from them, then they expect you to recognize the same in them.
